Home office/atelier Decor

Only a few hours left of my summer vacation. One of my goals was to decorate my home office/atelier. Here it is! The pictures are a little blurry... I guess I was too excited to show it off!

Chandelier "Art"

A while ago I got this great chandelier wall decal in an Etsy trade. Since the black wouldn't have "popped" against my fuchsia beroom wall, I decided to turn it into a bit of "art". I painted a huge canvas with silver acrylic paint and distressed it with black paint on the edges an then applied the decal onto the canvas. And voilà! Brand new wall art, that pops and looks great into my bedroom decor. I would have posted a picture of my bedroom to show the whole look... but I would have had to make my bed... ah, maybe some other time!

All 3-in-1 wristlets are now 15$ (were 25-28$). So you get a wristlet, that can also double as a cosmetic case and a bracelet (the bag handle) for just a few bucks. A great way to add a punch of color to any outfit!

Vacation to-do list

I've been on vacation for the past week, with one week to go. Yippee. There are a lot of things I've been wanting to do...The main thing being sleep, sleep and more sleep. ;-)

Besides that I want to update my Etsy shop. Give it a fresh new look and edit things out so it focuses on the more "sculpted" jewelry.

I also want to have a clearance sale on all wristlets.

I want to make 5-6 new necklaces.

And then take pictures.

And also on the non-Etsy but still creative front, I want to decorate, decorate and decorate. Mainly my home office/atelier.

Wow.... that's quite a list! I'll have to take a vacation from this vacation after that!

Birthday Wishlist

I think that is now the third or fourth time that one of my items has been selected by LilithEvy for one of her Etsy Treasuries. Art Deco-ish brand new design!

had incorporated vintage jewelry in some of my designs before, but I am really proud of these brand new pendants. They are really intricate and I feel they have a somewhat of an Art Deco flair to them. Creating them really made me feel like a true artist!

AB Obsession

For as long as I can remember, I have had this attraction to anything sparkly. When I bought my first piece of vintage AB (aurora borealis) jewelry (an amazing pink AB necklace and earrings set) almost ten years ago, I didn't know that it was the start of a wonderful love affair - dare I even say obsession - with vintage costume jewelry from the fifties and sixties.

Speaking of AB vintage jewelry, I just bought this cute vintage ring from Etsy seller dibabeads. I haven't received it yet but I can't wait to wear it! It will be a nice addition to fulfill my growing addiction... collection, I mean!

Update : I got it! It is so sweet and sparkly, I love it!

Purpleicious

My FLASHY FUCHSIA - Hot pink sequins crocheted color wire bracelet is in a wonderful Etsy Treasury curated by LilithEvy, entitled Purpleicious. She says she's not normally a fan of purple but that these items are the exception... How nice! I myself have a soft spot for purple... and therefore really enjoy this beautiful Treasury!

In this fabulous trade, I got this great Handyman's Cream Wax. I gave it to my father as a Christmas present and he loved it! It has a great texture and doesn't have a too strong smell.
